Table Lamps

Love the lamp that’s on a console in Kim Zolciak house in Real Housewives/Atlanta. Does anyone recognize it?

The lamp has black and white stripes and possible a alabaster or marble base and white or cream colored shade (there are 2 on the table and a series of architetual prints behind it).

Conductive switch or some other thing?

I’ve seen a table lamp which has a transparent glass holder, and thewonder of it, is that when you touch on the transparent glass the light will switch on and touch again it’ll be brighter (dimmer effect). I’m wondering what sort of a semiconductor switch is used in this system? Thanks for helping.

Is there such a thing as Plug-in or Battery-powered lighting?

I need to add lighting to a corner of my (rented) apartment. (Preferably track lighting.) I’m looking for plug-in or battery-powered options; a fixture that doesn’t have to be wired through the walls. There’s no room for a table lamp, it’s gotta hang on the walls or ceiling. Any ideas or info?
